    Hi there,

Is there any way to set up a trigger to monitor how long a user has been watching an embedded (Vimeo) video?

    Best,
    Dave

    Hi Dave,

    Thanks for using our plugins.

We can’t track actions on embedded content.

We can only track how long a user spent ‘looking’ at a certain page on your site.

So if the video is embedded in a specific/unique page on your site, you will know approximately how long users spent watching the video by seeing the stats of how long the users spent ‘looking’ at the page.

We can also track certain actions (such as clicking a button) if you create an event trigger for it. So if you create a trigger for a ‘Watch Video CTA’, then you can track how many user clicked that button to start playing the video.

Here are our video tutorials that discuss this in more details:
    https://vimeo.com/305493827 (user activity)
    https://vimeo.com/551423323 (event triggers)

    Hope this helps.
